Beginning in the mid 1990s, Côte Blanche Productions produced a trilogy of environmental documentaries for the Barataria Terrebonne National Estuary Program.  Barataria-Terrebonne — basically that enormous tangle of bayous, bays and wetlands that form a triangle between the Mississippi River, the Atchafalaya Swamp, and the Gulf of Mexico — is the fastest disappearing land mass in the world.  An acre vanishes under water every half hour or so.  For us, it’s also home.

Rescuing the Treasure

The follow-up half-hour Rescuing the Treasure served as environmental call to action, and won us a prestigious Coastal Stewardship Award.

Wings Over the Wetlands

Completing the trilogy, Wings Over the Wetlands emphasized Barataria-Terrebonne’s critical role in bird migrations.
